Mission Statement

Friends of Wil is a charitable non-profit organization established to honor the legacy of William Henninger McBeath, Jr. (“Wil”) by promoting and encouraging a sense of community engagement for the individuals and organizations in our daily lives.  Friends of Wil will contribute as well as, organize a volunteer network to engage and support causes dear to Wil and his family.

Wil and his family support many causes that directly impact their family and community,  particularly education, faith and friends both personal and professional.  While this support includes financial contributions, Wil’s impact was far more personal; a friend to all, a true leader in his community generously giving his time to engage, and support the organizations and people close to him; as well as providing his expertise as an architect to directly impact the lives of others.  Wil was truly a “Man for Others”.

Groups fortunate to receive Wil’s support include Little Flower School and Parish, Gonzaga College High School, Georgetown Visitation, The First Baptist Church of Washington, DC and many others.
